Mexican R&B artist Mariana de Miguel is better known by her stage name Girl
Ultra. She formed a band called AFFER aged 17 with fellow students at her
college and became the lead singer, performing mainly disco-style songs. The
band, which included producer Andrés Jaime, also known as Wet Baez, and brothers
Miguel and Hugo Galicia, took time out from their studies to perform. Influenced
by Mexican actress Sylvia Pinal, Miguel made her film debut in 2012 at the age
of 18.
