Despite having released a handful of singles of his own between 2018 and 2019, Giveon’s career really took off after being featured on Drake’s 2020 single “Chicago Freestyle.” Born Giveon Dezmann Evans on February 21, 1995, the Long Beach native discovered his passion for music from an early age and took part in the Recording Academy’s Grammy U program when he was just 18.
