Iceland's prolific purveyors of ice-cool electronica, GusGus, formed in
Reykjavik in 1995 initially as a film and acting collective comprising different
artists, before the group began carving a unique space for themselves in the
field of electronic music. GusGus – composed of a sprawling pool of members
including Birgir Þórarinsson (a.k.a. Veiran), Stephan Stephenssen (a.k.a
President Bongo) and singer Daníel Ágúst Haraldsson, among many more – kicked
off their trajectory with their debut album GusGus in 1995, which was followed
by 1997's critically acclaimed Polydistortion for ...
