Born in Żagań, Poland on June 2, 1951, Henryk Miśkiewicz is a jazz saxophonist
and clarinetist. He began his musical journey by playing the accordion before
attending the Secondary Music School in Wroclaw, eventually ending up at the
State Higher School of Music (Warsaw). He began playing with various groups
including Big Band Stadoła, Jazz Carriers, and Sun Ship. His recording career,
which includes albums as a leader and as a sideman, began in 1973 on the album
Carry On when he was still a member of Jazz Carriers. Albums on which he was the
