Hocus Pocus
Who is this UFO group on the hip hop scene? Their name comes from a magic
formula: Hocus Pocus. Led by DJ 20Syl, this group from Nantes first came to
public attention in 2007 (although they were founded in 1995), bringing a fresh
and original touch to the French rap scene by blending their original hip-hop
sound with acoustic instruments and atmospheres ranging from jazz and soul to
world music. The success of Place 54 was followed by the effective 16 Pièces in
2010.
