Honey Singh is the stage name of Indian rapper, producer, and actor Hirdesh
Singh, born on March 13, 1983, in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. He took his first steps in
music in 2003 as a session musician, later becoming associated with the local
bhangra and hip-hop scene as well as the burgeoning Bollywood film industry. In
2011, he released the full-length International Villager, an album sung mostly
in Punjabi that spawned the chart-topping hit “Gabru” with singer J-Star. That
same year, he scored another Number 1 with the track “Lak 28 Kudi Da” with
