Hubert Laws
Hubert Laws is a jazz and classical musician who is widely acknowledged to be
one of the most talented flautists in the history of jazz music. Although
classically trained, Laws' mastery of his instrument has enabled him to
effortlessly cross genres and he is equally at home playing jazz, pop, soul,
classical or rhythm and blues. During his long and distinguished career he has
played with symphony orchestras, the pop duo Ashford and Simpson, jazz legend
Chet Baker and a host of other bands and artists across all sectors of the music
