Hyde, born Takarai Hideto on January 29, 1969, is a prominent Japanese musician known for his role as the vocalist of L'Arc〜en〜Ciel, VAMPS, and THE LAST ROCKSTARS. Initially a guitarist, Hyde's music career took off in earnest with the formation of L'Arc〜en〜Ciel in 1991.
