Idéal J is one of the jewels in the crown of French hardcore rap. Led by
charismatic frontman Kery James, the group from Orly in the Paris region has, in
the space of just a few albums (including the hilarious Le Combat continue in
1998, which included the seminal Hardcore), established a reputation for "street
