Led by songwriter and producer Michael Cleveland, Indeep was a New York-based
new wave trio who stormed the charts in the early 80s with their unique blend of
early hip-hop, funk and disco grooves. Since its release, their trademark hit
“Last Night a D.J. Saved My Life” has been covered and sampled extensively by
artists like Mariah Carey, Madonna, and Boards of Canada. Joined by singers
