The indie-rock singer/songwriter Indigo De Souza was born in 1995 in Spruce
Hill, North Carolina. The town's culture proved to be too conservative for the
Souza family, and Indigo moved to Asheville with her parents when she was a
teenager. A prolific musician at a young age, she released her self-produced
debut EP, Boys, in 2016, followed by another EP, Don't Cry Just Do, in 2017. The
full-length album I Love My Mom followed in 2018, with Souza initially releasing
