Born Nicole Lapointe on June 9, 1944 in Rouyn-Noranda (Canada), Isabelle Pierre
is a pop singer from Quebec. She studied at the École des Beaux-Arts de Montréal
to become a draughtswoman from 1955 to 1959. She won a contest for amateur
singers in the early 1960s and toured the boîtes à chansons. At the end of 1963,
she sang on the Radio-Canada television program Les Couche-Tard . She released
her first album, Vol. 1 , in 1965, then turned to radio from 1968 to 1970,
hosting the program Samedi-Jeunesse . She scored her first radio hit in 1969
with a cover of Frida Boccara's song "...
