Born in Pécs, Hungary on February 1, 1952, Jenö Jandó was a pianist as well as a professor at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. His musical journey began when he studied piano at a local conservatory before continuing his studies at the Franz Liszt Academy. There, he trained under Katalin Nemes (who was a student of Béla Bartók), Pál Kadosa (who had been trained by Zoltán Kodály) and András Mihaly.
