Clarinetist, saxophonist and composer, American John Zorn is a key figure in the
world's avant-garde music scene. While some of his work (notably his
reinterpretation of the works of Italian film composer Ennio Morricone) has been
acclaimed by press and public alike, his uncompromising attitude, his desire to
embrace all styles - from punk to jazz to the Klezmer tradition - and his
sometimes toe-curling approach to music, have denied him widespread popular
recognition.
