Best known as the frontman and chief songwriter of Switchfoot, Jon Foreman has straddled the line between mainstream alt-rock and Christian music since the mid-1990s. He broadened both his sound and his resume during the 2000s, releasing a pair of albums with the side project Fiction Family and maintaining a popular solo career throughout much of Switchfoot's tenure.
