Julie Ivalo Broberg Berthelsen (June 7, 1979) is a Danish singer-songwriter,
mostly known for being the runner-up on the second season of the singing
competition show Popstars in 2002. Born in the city of Aarhus, she relocated to
Nuuk in Greenland with her mother shortly after her parents’ divorce. Influenced
by her stepfather, the musician-turned-politician Per Berthelsen, she took her
first steps in music as a backing vocalist for local bands. After forming her
