Julio Afredo Jaramillo Laurido, who went by the name Julio Jaramillo, was a
prominent singer and guitarist from Ecuador who performed traditional Latin
forms of music including boleros, tangos and rancheros. He began performing as a
youth and released his first album, 'My Poor Dear Mother' with singer Fresia
Saavedra in 1954. He released several other albums and became immensely popular
across Latin America. Tracks included 'Fe verdadera', 'Nuestro Juramento' and
