British-born Katy Tiz was signed to the Lava/Republic label in 2012. After
releasing three unsuccessful singles, she was finally fired in 2013. Also a
songwriter, Katy Tiz works with Cheryl Cole and Girl's Generation while
continuing to try to advance her own career. Success came in 2014 with her
version of "The Big Bang", borrowed from producer duo Rock Mafia, who had
recorded it in 2010. This tropical-tinged pop song is also the subject of a
reggae version in which Katy Tiz invites Jo Mersa Marley and Inner Circle.
