Khaled Hadj Ibrahim, who goes by just his first name, is an internationally
acclaimed Algerian singer in his homeland's rai folk music tradition with blues,
pop and jazz influences. He released tapes in Algeria early in his career and
then moved to France where he released his eponymous debut album in 1991. His
1993 single 'Didi' became a major hit in France, Belgium, Spain, India and
Pakistan. American producer Don Was then produced his 1993 album 'N'Ssi N'Ssi'
