KMFDM, a historic German industrial rock band, was founded in 1984 by singer and
guitarist Sascha Konietzko. Within a few years, the band had moved from the
Hamburg underground to the American dance charts, setting up shop in Chicago and
Seattle. KMFDM's success was boosted by the album Naive (1990), with hits such
as "Split", "Vogue " (#19 in 1992) and "Drug Against War " (1993). Sascha
