Cristián Daniel Stambuk Sandoval, popularly known as Koko, was born to Croatian immigrant parents on March 16, 1977, in Osorno, Chile. He burst onto the Chilean music scene in 1996 as the lead singer and primary songwriter for the band Glup!, which saw great success until its first disbandment in 2002.
