La Serenissima
Founded in 1994 in the UK by violinist Adrian Chandler, La Serenissima is a
baroque ensemble that specializes in playing the music of Vivaldi and other 18th
century baroque composers. In order to make the music as authentic as possible,
Adrian Chandler uses the composers’ original manuscripts and period instruments
to ensure that each arrangement is as close as possible to the18th century
repertoire. Apart from the work of Vivaldi, La Serenissima also performs
compositions by Brescianello, Albinoni, Matteis the Younger, Locatelli,
Sammartini, Tartini, Caldara, Corelli, Bach, and ...
