Lacraps was born in Roubaix, northern France, in 1985. He draws his influence mainly from rap music from the East Coast, but remains sensitive to various musical trends, ranging from the French hip-hop scene with artists such as NTM and Lunatic, to world-famous stars such as Michael Jackson, Bob Marley and Stevie Wonder. From 2008, he was involved in a number of musical projects, before deciding to settle in the south, in Montpellier, and in 2014 released his first album entitled La Machine à Ecrire .
