Born in Morocco, rapper Lartiste borrows his pseudonym from the role of Tom Sizemore in Michael Mann's film Heat . After a first EP, "Évasion", self-produced in 2006, and the Rap 1.9 mixtape in 2010, Lartiste was signed by Hostile Records (EMI) for his first full-length, logically entitled Lalbum. His collaboration on Rim'K's "Déconnectés " in summer 2014 was followed by a second album, Fenomeno, released in March 2015.
