Rapper, singer, songwriter, and activist Ledri Vula was born on July 10, 1986,
in Pristina, which was then part of Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia but
is now part of Kosovo. Born to an Albanian father and Montenegrin mother, Ledri
Vula first came to prominence in 2005 as one half of hip-hop duo Skillz.
However, he began working outside of the duo – including guesting on Dafina
Zeqiri’s 2010 single "Pom Pëlqen" – and by 2012, Skillz had split, and he
