Leeland
Alternative Christian rock band Leeland was formed in Baytown, Texas in 2004.
The group was founded by singer/songwriter Leeland Mooring (born June 16, 1988),
who had already achieved a respectable amount of success since writing his first
song, “Shine,” when he was 11 years old. After several years of playing churches
and entering talent contests, he formed the band Leeland in 2000 alongside his
brother Jack Mooring, cousin Jake Holtz, and long-time friends Jeremiah Wood and
Mike Smith. The band singed a deal with Essential Records, releasing their debut
album, Sound of Melodies...
