Les Poppys are a French children's group that grew out of the Petits Chanteurs d'Asnières choir, formed in 1946 by Jean Amoureux. They sing in the hippie vein of the 1970s, with themes such as love, fraternity, peace and ecology, as well as incomprehension in the face of war and the violence of the adult world. Initially, 17 boys between the ages of 10 and 14 were selected, but the composition of the group evolved as the singers matured.
