Born on 28 May 1955, Danish pop/rock singer and songwriter Lis Sørensen began
her musical journey in 1970 recording the album It’s So Easy with her music
teacher Holger Laumann. While studying music pedagogy at the Royal Academy of
Music in Aarhus/Aalborg, she rose to prominence in the 1970s as a member of Shit
& Chanel, Denmark’s first all-female rock band. She also lent her vocals to
prominent acts including Gasolin’ and Sebastian. In the early 1980s, she joined
