Although the singer-songwriter Livingston Taylor has inevitably lived in the shadow of his famous brother James he has enjoyed a successful career as a solo performer with a career spanning 50 years, his three most notable hits being the chart singles 'I Will Be in Love With You', 'First Time Love' and 'I'll Come Running'.

During his career he has shared the stage with many notable performers including Jethro Tull, Linda Ronstadt and Jimmy Buffett. Alongside his work as a performer Taylor has pursued a successful career as an academic and as well as being the artist in residence at Harvard from 2000 through to 2006, has also had a long term association with Berklee College of Music where he is a professor.

Taylor drew upon his wide experience as a performing artist to write the self-help book 'Stage Performance' which went on to become a key component of the curriculum at Berklee and deals with subjects as diverse as stage fright, microphone technique, handling booking agents and how to dress on stage. With 19 albums to his credit and numerous hit singles he remains one of America's most consistently successful folk performers.
