Lootpack
Founded in Oxnard, California in 1992, Lootpack is a hip-hop group composed of
high school classmates DJ/producer Madlib (born Otis Jackson, Jr. in 1973),
rapper Wildchild (Jack Brown), and DJ/producer DJ Romes (Romeo Jimenez). They
made their first appearance on 21 & Over, the 1993 debut album by Tha
Alkaholiks. Their first release under the Lootpack name was the Psyche Move EP
(1996), released on Crate Digga’s Palace Records. The trio then signed to Stones
Throw Records and released two EPs in 1998: The Anthem and Whenimondamic.
