Los Amantes de Lola
Los Amantes de Lola, formed in Mexico City in 1987, became one of the defining
bands of the "rock en tu idioma" movement, blending new wave influences with
dark humor and melodic songwriting. Their breakthrough came in 1988 when they
won a nationwide rock competition with "Don Juan" and "La Flor de Bagdad,"
leading to their self-titled debut album in 1990. The record, influenced by
