Born in Nantes in 1999, Lucienne Renaudin Vary planned to pursue a career in
dance before discovering the trumpet in a music theory class. Seduced by the
instrument's possibilities, which matched her musical eclecticism, she studied
jazz and classical repertoires at the Conservatoire du Mans from 2007 onwards,
and went on to win the Petites mains symphoniques competition. In 2013, she made
her debut at the Victoires de la musique classique, where she performed in
tribute to Maurice André. That same year, the trumpeter was featured on the
