Lute
Rapper Luther Nicholson – born July 6, 1989, in Charlotte, North Carolina - is
better known by his stage name Lute. Formerly a member of Charlotte-based
hip-hop collective Forever FC, he went solo after they disbanded and released
his debut mixtape, West1996, in 2012. The success of the mixtape brought Lute to
the attention of several labels and, in 2015, he signed with J. Cole’s
Dreamville Records. After appearing on the label compilation Revenge of the
Dreamers II, he released his debut single, “Juggin’”, in 2017, which was
