Born in Villepinte (Seine-Saint-Denis) on January 10, 1995, Walid Georgey, aka
Maes (short for Maestro), grew up in the same department in Sevran, and began
rapping at the age of fourteen. It was during a short incarceration between 2016
and 2017 that he matured his artistic project with the mixtape Réelle Vie.
Returning to civilian life, Maes released his second mixtape, Réelle Vie 2.0
(ranked #65) in 2018, and was spotted and signed by a subsidiary of Capitol
