Marc Johnson
Marc Johnson is an American jazz double-bass player from Nebraska who began
performing while at university in Texas and became a member of Bill Evans's
final trio from 1978 until the pianist's death in 1980. Several archived
recordings with the trio have been released since including 'Live in Montreal
1980' in 2019. He has released several albums as leader and recorded with a
great many top jazz artists including his wife, singer-pianist Eliane Elias.
Their 2012 recording 'Swept Away' reached number 19 on Billboard's Jazz Albums
chart in 2012 and 'Made in Brazil' won the Gramm...
