Italian singer-songwriter Marco Masini came to attention when he finished third
in the Sanremo Music Festival competition in 1991. At the age of 27 his song
'Perché Lo Fai' earned him recognition at the Festival and he released a
self-titled debut album quickly followed by his second offering 'Malinconoia'
(1992). In 1993 he released 'T'innamorerai' which became his breakthrough album
with the controversial lead single 'Vaffanculo' proving an instant success.
