Mexican singer, ballerina, flamenco dancer, and actress Maria José was born María José Loyola Anaya on January 12, 1976, in Mexico City. She started her music career as a member of the group Kabah, which formed in 1992. When Kabah disbanded in 2005, María José embarked on a solo career, releasing her eponymous studio debut in 2007 on the Warner Music label. The album, which included the singles "Quien Eres Tú?," "Me Equivoqué," and "Donde Está?," reached number 84 on the Mexican Albums Chart.
