Active in the Christian pop world since 1993, singer/songwriter Matt Redman is
best known for the award-winning, double-platinum "10,000 Reasons (Bless the
Lord)," which topped both the Christian Songs and Christian Airplay charts in
2012. He was born on February 14, 1974, in Watford, England, and converted to
Christianity as a 10 year-old. Redman learned to play guitar during his teenage
years and released his debut record, Wake Up My Soul, in 1993. That same year,
he also formed a youth-oriented Christian music festival, Soul Survivor.
