Born in Nantucket, Massachusetts on 22 December 1993, Meghan Trainor is a pop
singer and songwriter best known for her 2014 international hit “All About That
Bass.” She began her musical journey by singing and playing trumpet in her
school’s jazz band, eventually writing her first song at the age of eleven. She
took guitar lessons from Johnny Spampinato of NRBQ and the Incredible Casuals
and went on to sing with local band Island Fusion for four years. She later
