After spending six years as a small independent Christian faith band, the
Texas-based five piece rock ensemble MercyMe signed to INO Records and hit the
big time. Their debut big label single “I Can Only Imagine” taken from the album
Almost There (2001) was a surprise crossover hit and its success lifted the LP
to double-platinum status. Although Almost There remains their most successful
release to date, four follow-up albums went gold and the band had 13 consecutive
Top 5 singles in the Billboard Chart, seven of them reaching Number 1. Numerous
