An escapee from the Parisian reggae group Baobab, Merlot's successful conversion
in 2008 began at the Francofolies festival in La Rochelle, where his fun-loving
personality won over the audience. In his first solo album, Chansons D'Amour Et
De Haine, the suburban singer mixes tastes and styles (folk, jazz, hip hop and
reggae) with infectious enthusiasm.
