Michael Schenker was born on January 10, 1955 in Sarstedt, Lower Saxony. He is
one of the most influential guitarists in hard rock and heavy metal. He joined
the band Scorpions, founded by his brother Rudolf Schenker, at a young age and
played on their debut album Lonesome Crow in 1972. Shortly afterwards, he joined
the British rock band UFO, with whom he co-composed some of their best-known
songs such as "Doctor Doctor" and "Rock Bottom". Schenker left UFO in 1978 and
