Hwang Min-hyun, born August 9, 1995 in Busan, South Korea (also known as
Minhyun), is a K-pop performer who gained fame as a vocalist with the boy band
NU'EST, formed in 2012 by Pledis Entertainment. During his time in the group,
Minhyun competed on the television show Produce 101, landing a position with boy
band Wanna One, performing exclusively with them for just over a year, before
the group disbanded in 2018. Returning to NU’EST in 2019, Minhyun recorded solo
single “Universe,” which was featured on the group’s sixth EP Happy Ever After.
