Born as "Misaki Itō" in Tsushima, Nagasaki, on July 7, 1978, Misia is a Japanese
singer best known for the Number 1 hit "Everything." She received training in
gospel and R&B music as a student, signed with BMG Japan in 1997, and released
the debut single "Tsutsumikomu Yō ni…" in February 1998. The song reached Number
1 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart, where Misia's follow-up single, "Hi no
