Heloísa Maria Buarque de Hollanda, who performed under the pseudonym Miúcha, was
a singer in the música popular Brasileira tradition with a blend of pop, jazz,
samba and bossa nova. She died aged 81 on 27th December 2018. She was married
formerly to legendary singer-guitarist João Gilberto and their daughter Bebel
Gilberto is a Grammy-nominated performer.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, she grew up in São Paulo and later studied in Paris. She
