The producer and DJ known as MK was born Mark Kinchen on August 3, 1972. A
Detroit native, he began his career in the late 80s via a series of appearances
on Kevin Sanderson’s KMS label and then relocated to Brooklyn in 1991. There, he
quickly made a name for himself in the city's booming club circuit and released
his debut single “Burning” through his own Area 10 Records. His first
full-length, Surrender, arrived in 1993 and featured the worldwide Number 1 club
