Taking their name from a reference in the Anthony Burgess novel A Clockwork
Orange, Moloko's melodic dance music was hugely popular on the late 1990s UK
club scene and resulted in a couple of major hit singles, notably Sing It Back
and The Time Is Now. Mark Brydon was already a well-established dance producer
and re-mixer when he met young Irishwoman Róisín Murphy at a party in Sheffield.
At the time she had no experience as a singer, but quickly found her feet as
