Jazz drummer Moses Boyd was born on April 30, 1991, in Catford, England. He came
to prominence with the release of his debut album, the Mercury Prize-nominated
Dark Matter (2020). A figure in the London jazz scene since 2015, Moses Boyd
began his musical apprenticeship at the age of 13 and underwent specialized
training at college. Influenced by artists as diverse as Miles Davis and Dizzee
Rascal, Moses Boyd’s experimental style mixed nu-jazz, grime, electronica, and
