Take a random name, Master-kraft in this case, remove the vowels and you get
MSTRKRFT. If the Canadian duo's name isn't easy at first glance, their style of
elegant electro-rock is easily identifiable. MSTRKRFT's fame comes more from the
band's remix work than from their own repertoire. MSTRKRFT can remix anything
from Bloc Party and Justice to Usher and Kylie Minogue. Their 2006 album The
Looks includes the underground hits "Paris" and "Easy Love". Its successor, Fist
of God, is due for release in March 2009.
