The Australian Christian rock band Newsboys formed in 1985 in Mooloolaba,
Queensland. The band's co-founders both eventually left the lineup, with
vocalist Peter Furter making his exit in 2009 and guitarist George Perdikis
leaving in 1990. Nonetheless, Newsboys enjoyed success as a Grammy-nominated,
chart-topping group for multiple decades, thanks to an evolving lineup and a
large, dedicated fanbase.
